Neath are on the verge of claiming a fourth successive Principality Premiership title and a victory over Cardiff on Sunday will gift them the trophy.
Chairman Geraint Hawkes has applauded the club’s fans and has urged them to keep their support going until the end of the season: “I would personally like to thank you all for your tremendous support during the season. I now ask you to bring more troops with you for our remaining games and encourage your friends and family to join you at both our remaining home and away fixtures.”
“Cardiff on Sunday afternoon, even though not an ideal kick off, is a huge game for the club. Providing we win, the match should see us crowned Principality league champions for the fourth consecutive season. This is something which has never been achieved in Welsh rugby before!”
“Cardiff RFC is probably one of the most accessible grounds in the Premiership so why not bring along vocal family and friends and introduce them to the magic that is Neath Rugby.”
Neath are also still in the running for this season’s Konica Minolta Cup, and face Richard Hodges’s Glamorgan Wanderers side in a semi-final clash at the Talbot Athletic Ground on Sunday April 27th (kick-off 5.05pm).
Hawkes added: “Where our semi final game of the Konica Minolta Cup against Glamorgan Wanderers is concerned we have received our allocation of tickets which are currently selling well at our retail outlet, 13 Old Market St, Neath, and from the online store – www.welshallblackssportsshop.co.uk.”
As a thank you to their supporters Neath have also slashed the price of their Canterbury jerseys.
