The runaway leaders have now been confirmed as champions in the Division as Carmarthen Athletic’s mathematical chance of overhauling them disappeared despite their 37-19 win at Tumble.

Elsewhere there were notable wins for Cwmavon over Gorseinon, for Kidwelly who smashed basement boys Nantymoel 63-0 and for Pontyberem who came out on top in an entertaining clash with Penclawdd.

In each of the lower Divisions there were comfortable wins for the respective champions.

In Three West, runaway leaders Ammanford crushed Newcastle Emlyn 77-14; in Four West, Morriston were equally emphatic in their 78-10 drubbing of Tycroes and in Division Five, Burry Port ran five tries past a spirited St David’s side in their 32-10 triumph.

BP Llandarcy secured their second promotion in as many years with a tense 19-16 defeat of Tondu.

Trailing with 10 minutes to go, the Oilmen were rescued by a magnificent individual score from Stuart Thorne, who converted that effort to add to his four previous penalties in the tie.
