The match, which takes place on the final day of July, will be contested between a Tongan select XV and a World XV.
The match forms part of the Tonga Coronation of King George Tupou V, a showpiece occasion which includes three coronation balls, a military parade, traditional dancing, a fireworks display and an open-air concert.
The Dragons contact and defence skills coach and player is thrilled at the opportunity to take part in the event and said: “I’m thrilled that I have been offered the chance to go to Tonga and play a very high standard of game and gauge where I am physically ahead of the season.
“The opportunity has come at a perfect time and I am able to go away and prove my fitness. I would love to continue playing for the region next season as well as fulfilling a coaching role.”
