Kieran Crowley has made two changes to his forward pack for Friday evening’s Millennium Stadium showdown against Wales in the Invesco Perpetual autumn series.

The Canadian coach had brought in flanker Jebb Sinclair and second row Tyler Hotson who have replaced Sean Michael Stephen and Mike Burak respectively from the side which suffered a heavy defeat to Ireland on Saturday.

Crowley said, “Pride is always dented after you suffer a defeat but we have to bounce back from that. We were well beaten against Ireland – we were on the back foot early on and never recovered.”

Crowley is expecting Warren Gatland’s experimental Welsh side to come out with all guns blazing.

“Even with the changes from the side that played South Africa, they will still play the same patterns and structures. This is a huge chance for the players coming in as they will want to play the All Blacks,” explained the former All Black full-back.

Canadian captain Pat Riordan is confident his young and inexperienced side won’t be overwhelmed by playing in front of a big crowd with ticket sales having already surpassed 45,000.

“For some of these guys, playing in front of 28,000 was something special at Thomond Park (on Saturday), so maybe that may make them a little less naive in the Millennium Stadium,” said the hooker.

“Some of the guys have played there before, some two or three times, so they’ll have to give the heads up to the younger guys. It will be the loudest place they will ever play rugby and if the Welsh crowd start to sing, they’ll have to deal with that. But we’ll focus on the field and not get swept away with it.”
