Seven times SWALEC Cup winners Cardiff will take a step into the unknown in Round 4 when they head to north Wales to face Bethesda on 20 December.

The Principality Premiership outfit have never played in the north before in the cup and will be taking on a team who are currently unbeaten in Division Two North and who comfortably beat New Tredegar 29-19 in the last round.

The Premiership sides, who enter the tournament in the fourth round, will have three battles with teams from the North Wales Divisions as Ebbw Vale are due to travel to Llandudno and Swansea will host Bala.

The All Whites are one of eight Premiership clubs who will enjoy home draws – Aberavon, Bedwas, Bridgend, Glamorgan Wanderers, Llanelli, Newport, Pontypridd and Swansea – while holders Neath face a tricky trip to face Division One West club Maesteg.

The other Premiership sides facing an away tie are Llandovery and Cross Keys. The Drovers have to travel to meet Division One East team Beddau, who thrashed Vardre 59-15 in the last round, while Keys will travel west to face an in-form Crymych team that have reached the fourth round for only the second time..

Two Division Five East teams, Talywain and Ynysddu, have made it through to the fourth round and their rewards differ. Talywain, who crushed Division Four West’s Trimsaran last weekend, will have home advantage against close rivals Garndiffaith, while Ynysddu, who beat Division Three West’s Pontyberem, now have to travel to face Llanharan.

The draws have also been made for the First Round of the SWALEC Bowl, which involves all those teams which lost in the First Round of the SWALEC Plate competition, and the Second Round of the SWALEC Plate, which is for those teams which lost in the first two rounds of the SWALEC Cup.
