Due to weather conditions in some parts of the country, Scottish Rugby has received inquiries from supporters about the status of the RBS 6 Nations Championship fixture between Scotland and Wales at Murrayfield tomorrow.(Sunday 8 February, kick-off 3pm).
We have undersoil heating at Murrayfield and, at this juncture, with the current weather forecast, there is no threat to the match going ahead as scheduled. The match is close to a sell-out but Scottish Rugby’s Ticket Centre is open today for the last few remaining tickets.
Scottish Rugby urges all supporters bound for Murrayfield tomorrow to check their proposed travel arrangements at regular intervals.
There will be no public car parking at Murrayfield for any of Scotland’s three home 2009 RBS 6 Nations Championship fixtures. Supporters are encouraged to make alternative travel arrangements to and from Murrayfield
Coach and minibus parking will no longer be available within the national stadium but, in association with Lothian & Borders Police, will now be available in two locations, on a first-come first-served basis. All coach and minibus drivers are advised to approach the area – no earlier than 12 noon – from the A8 Corstorphine Road or A71 Calder Road where they will be directed to park by police officers. Lothian and Borders Police are urging drivers to co-operate in this regard, to ensure maximum capacity.
