The Cardiff-based students were staring down the barrel of a defeat at Rodney Parade when going into the break 15-3 behind but an improved second half display saw them score 24 unanswered points.
UWIC will now meet Hartpury College who beat Loughborough University 23-12 in the other semi-final on Wednesday April 22nd. This game will be a repeat of the 2006-07 final where UWIC will be attempting to reverse the result.
