Women’s and Girls’ rugby is currently played in three age groups, Under 15s, Under 18s and Seniors. Girls and boys play mixed rugby up to and including under 12s.
Clubs should be aware of the enormous benefits a women’s section can bring including extra members, extra income, more volunteers, increased publicity, enhanced links with schools and increased opportunities for sponsorship and funding.
Once teams have worked through the process the WRU will determine whether the new section is viable and give their approval for the creation of the section.
