The televised league encounter between the two clubs back in October was acclaimed as one of the games of the season so far, at any level, in Wales. A re-run of that occasion, with Ponty and Swansea now lying third and second respectively in the league, promises to be a tasty confrontation.
Following a big win against Pontypool midweek, Ponty’s recent injury worries have eased slightly, with centre Adam Thomas and flanker Darren Waters returning to action. Hooker Huw Dowden, although on bench duty with the Blues the previous evening, has also been selected.
Irish import, prop Ken Knaggs, maintains a presence in the front row. Drafted in on permit from Llanharan to cover the lock position as replacement is former Ponty regular James Connors.
