The Blues left Italy with a 19-7 victory over Benetton Treviso as they made it three wins from four this term.
Treviso had beaten both the Scarlets and Leinster on home turf since their introduction to the Magners League but the Blues proved too strong for the newcomers in this Round 4 encounter.
A first-half Ben Blair try and 14 points from the boot of Dan Parks saw the Blues move up to third in the table.
Dai Young’s men led 13-0 at the break and, although Treviso scored a second-half try of their own through Antonio Pavanello, the Blues held firm to avoid a potential banana skin.
The Blues have now beaten Edinburgh, the Dragons and Treviso so far this season, with their only loss in their last 12 competitive games coming at Leinster in Round 2.
