New Zealand’s rugby league convert, Sonny Bill Williams is relishing the chance to play in front of a packed Millennium Stadium on Saturday.

The former Toulon centre returned to New Zealand this year with a burning ambition to wear the famous All Black jersey and has impressed since making his debut against England earlier this month.

And 25-year-old says he has been fully briefed on the atmosphere in Cardiff and is looking forward to winning his fourth cap.

“I have been told that we will have to shout the backline moves because it is so loud in there,” said Williams.

“If we can get a few points on the board early, hopefully we can silence the crowd a little.

“I don’t think that will silence them though because they love their singing.

“I am expecting it to be an awesome atmosphere.”

Williams’ combination of creativity and power has caused problems for both the English and Scottish midfields in recent weeks, but he acknowledges there is still a lot of room for improvement.

“It is always an honour to start for the All Blacks and I feel more comfortable with the more game time I get,” he added.

“It has been an awesome experience but it is all about learning at this stage.

“Ma’a Nonu has really taken me under wing and I have probably learned a lot more from him than anyone else and he knows he is the number one 12 in the country.”
