The RBS 6 Nations Express will leave London Paddington at approximately 3pm, arrive at Cardiff Central Station at 5.30pm in good time for kick-off at 7:45pm, and then depart back for the capital at approximately 10:45pm.
This gives fans enough time to soak up the pre-game atmosphere and then enjoy the match, safe in the knowledge that their chariot is waiting to carry them home.
Priced at £45 (plus booking fee) for the return journey, news of the train will be welcomed by London-based fans who can now guarantee their travel to and from the Friday night fixture in all the comfort and safety of a reserved spot on the RBS 6 Nations Express, leaving them to relax and enjoy their rugby.
The service, a joint venture between RBS, Six Nations, the RFU and WRU, will also transport the RBS 6 Nations trophy to Cardiff for the game.
Wales international Matthew Rees added “From a player’s point of view, having the fans there to support us until the last few seconds of the game keeps us going when we need a boost. The last thing the fans want is to miss the most exciting part of the game, which is often the final 10 minutes and without the train they’d have to miss the action. The RBS 6 Nations Express is a great idea and demonstrates the commitment of RBS, the RFU, WRU and Six Nations to the fans and the game.”
Tickets for the RBS 6 Nations Express are available to buy from Seetickets.com. A return ticket from London Paddington to Cardiff will cost £45 plus booking fee and postal charge. Spaces are limited, so fans are encouraged to book early.
