The annual competition is set to be held in Italy in June and S4C viewers can follow the Wales Under 20s campaign exclusively live on the channel.
Among the games shown live on S4C will be Wales’ pool matches, including Wales v Argentina (10 June), Wales v New Zealand (14 June) and Wales v Italy (18 June). If Wales progress to the latter stages of the competition, including the inaugural IRB Junior World Championship final, live coverage of those matches will also be available on S4C.
Each match will be available to watch again on s4c.co.uk/clic – the online catch-up service. Highlights of the matches will also be shown on the channel’s rugby website, s4c.co.uk/rygbi.
The IRB announcement comes at an exciting time for viewers of sport on S4C, with the channel securing the rights to broadcast matches from the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.
