As the regular season draws to a close, the Dragons themselves may have not chance of making a play-off spot but they are just as motivated going into Friday’s game in Newport with the incentive of denying Ulster a top-four finish.
In recent weeks the Dragons have beaten by the Ospreys and the Blues, denting their play-off hopes and Edwards still believes there is a lot to play for, for his side tomorrow.
“It’s good to be honest because we didn’t want a dead rubber at the end of the season,” he said.
“From our point of view, we want to keep it going while Ulster are chasing a play-off spot, so it should be another good night.
“If we can do a really good job on Ulster, we might get two Welsh teams in the play-offs, which is good for our rugby.
“We have got to play well against them because it’s important for us going forward as a business.”
