The Welsh fly-half leaves the region at the end of the season but is looking to go out on a high and knows his side need to step up this weekend after a disappointing performance against Aironi.
The Ospreys only just scrapped through in Viadana though to set up a play-off tie with Munster this weekend and Hook knows they must improve ahead of the trip to Thomond Park.
“We can’t play much worse than we did against Aironi,” he said.
“We know Munster pretty well, it will be the fifth time we have played them this season.
“There is going to be a big crowd there and we have had some good battles with them in the past, so hopefully we can pick ourselves up.
“We all know it was a really poor performance from us against Aironi, but the season is over 22 games and we are in the play-offs now.
“Obviously we deserve to be there, albeit not on that performance.
“We can forget about the Aironi game now and concentrate on the semi-final.
“It’s going to be a big battle in Limerick but it’s all about picking ourselves up and giving a good account of ourselves, which I am sure we will.”
