Siggery departs Sardis Road

04.02.23 - Wales v Ireland - Guinness Six Nations - Prematch pyrotechnics at Principality Stadium

Pontypridd will be losing the services of flanker Ed Siggery for the coming season, as the Wales under 20 international has decided on a move to English Premiership club London Irish.

The dynamic blind-side flanker joined up with Ponty in the summer of 2010, having previously represented Llanelli, Llandovery and his home town of Carmarthen whilst linked to the Scarlets Academy.

Siggery made a big impact in Ponty colours as a hugely physical back rower, and was an instrumental figure in the club’s push for domestic honours. ‘The Sig’ also became a very popular figure with the Ponty fan base. His performances have now been rewarded with a step up to fully professional status with London Irish.

Siggery is currently on duty with Wales under 20s in the World Junior Championships in Italy.
