Member clubs met at Castle Hotel in Neath in 1881 for the creation of one of the founding unions-The Welsh Rugby Union.
Guests included Welsh singer and comedian Max Boyce and classical singer, presenter and actress Shan Cothi.
Proceeds from the dinner, held on the eve of Wales’ win against England on Saturday, will go to the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
