Over 11,000 fans who have already registered their interest for the post-Rugby World Cup home fixture at WRU.CO.UK can get hold of tickets before the public sale begins on Thursday, 22 September.

While that December 3 Millennium Stadium meeting with the Wallabies will be either the 31st or 32nd clash between the two nations – depending on whether or not they meet in the knock-out stages of the Rugby World Cup – the immediate focus for both countries is the World Cup in New Zealand.

Wales, who went so agonisingly close to beating South Africa in their Pool D opener last Sunday, face Samoa in Hamilton tomorrow before former double world champions Australia go in search of a second Pool C win in their clash with Ireland in Auckland.

After the William Webb Ellis Trophy has been won in New Zealand, rugby supporters will be able to follow a host of the world’s greatest rugby players in Cardiff, with Wales facing Australia followed by fixtures against Scotland, Italy and France in the 2012 RBS 6 Nations at the home of Welsh sport.

For the upcoming games, tickets are priced at £25, £40, £50 and £65 for Wales v Australia and at £25, £46, £66, £72 and £77 for all Wales’ RBS 6 Nations home fixtures.

The pre-registration process has now closed and all those registered will have received their unique link via email to access tickets ahead of everyone else and Craig Maxwell, WRU Head of Sales and Marketing, is urging fans to act fast.

“Wales’ biggest fans have been following their national team via our official website since Warren Gatland and the squad left for the Rugby World Cup and for this reason we are delighted to reward their support by offering a pre-registration process to purchase tickets for Wales’ home fixtures ahead of the public sale which goes live on Thursday,” he said.

“After following Wales’ Rugby World Cup efforts, the Wales v Australia fixture on Saturday, 3 December, is sure to be an exciting experience for the fans and a great opportunity to look ahead to the start the 2012 RBS 6 Nations Championship in the New Year.”

All tickets not snapped up during the pre-sale will be available to the public via www.wru.co.uk/tickets on Thursday.
