Whilst Pontypridd, along with Llanelli and others of the leading pack of clubs in the Premiership have been away on BIC duties, Llandovery have stole a march to the top of the league table.
Making up lost ground will be the aim for Ponty, also to register a quick fire league double over Llanelli, having won the corresponding fixture at Sardis Road on 1st October by 29-16. That will be a tough assignment at the home of the reigning Premiership champions, and against opponents packed full of young talent aspiring to the Scarlets regional squad.
Pontypridd will be without recent injury victims, outside half Lewis K Williams (groin) and No8 Dan Godfrey (neck) whilst lock Cory Hill has been laid low with sickness. Flanker Tom Hetherington is on domestic leave, whilst winger Owen Williams is away with Wales Sevens in Australia.
Returning to club duties from the Blues senior squad are hooker Rhys Williams and prop Ryan Harford. Young flanker Jordan Sieniawski again slots in to the second row as cover.
