The former Toulon director of rugby took over the reigns of the French national team following the World Cup and has named 22 of the players that took part in the tournament in his first squad.
He has also announced six players have been recalled whilst Clermont centre Wesley Fofana and Toulouse lock Yoann Maestri receive their first call-ups to the side.
Former captain Lionel Nallet misses out on selection as does David Skrela and Cedric Heymans but there are recalls for Toulouse’s Lionel Beauxis, Yann David, Yannick Nyanga and Clement Poitrenaud as well Clermont Avuergne duo Vincent Debaty and Julien Malzieu.
The squad will take part in a three-day training camp later this month ahead of their first clash in the RBS 6 Nations against Italy on February 4.
