In what was their first game in eight years the Welsh side, coached by fomrer Wales Under 21 head coach Chris Davey, conceded five tries to an England team that had already played Portugal earlier in the year.
Two of the home tries came from Cardiff Metropolitan University full back Dan Bibby and the opening score of the night came from another Welsh-based player, Cardiff Metropolitan (formerly UWIC) centre Louis Messer. Bath wing Sam Miller also helped himself to two tries.
Wales played a full part in the free-flowing match and were rewarded with tries from Bridgend wing Tom Williams and Cardiff Metropolitan’s Ross Wardle. Rhys Roberts landed a penalty and conversion.
