Wales Women’s captain cited

Wales Women face the prospect of playing Ireland tomorrow in their re-arranged RBS 6 Nations fixture without captain Rachel Taylor after she was cited following last weekend’s game against England.

Share this page:

The disciplinary hearing for Taylor will be held in Dublin tomorrow, following the citing complaint made against her by the Rugby Football Union for Women (RFUW) for an alleged act of foul play during the Women’s Six Nations at Twickenham last Saturday.

The citing complaint will be heard by an independent Six Nations disciplinary committee.

Should the disciplinary committee reject the citing complaint and/or impose no suspension on Ms Taylor, she will be free to play in the rescheduled match between Wales and Ireland tomorrow afternoon. Should the disciplinary committee uphold the citing complaint and impose a suspension, Ms Taylor will not be permitted to play in the match tomorrow.
