A warm welcome will be extended to the Keys after their heroic achievement last weekend in becoming the first Welsh club to reach the final round of the British & Irish Cup. That welcome will turn into a full on battle for valuable league points once the first whistle sounds at 7:15pm.
For fifth placed Pontypridd this is a crucial game in hand over the teams above them in the table, and one that must be won to make an advance on the Premiership play-off places.
Team manager Richard Langmead relishes the importance of the tie. “This is another massive game for us” said Langmead.
“We have games in hand over other clubs challenging for honours and the need to win is obvious. We need to maintain the momentum from out last two games, where we played to our potential and secured bonus point wins over Swansea and Cardiff.
“Those results can give us the confidence we need to face a Cross Keys side who no doubt will be on a high after their BIC exploits.”
