The Exiles face Bath at The Recreation Ground on August 11 in what will be the first meeting between the two clubs since the 1992/93 season, when Bath won 37-7 on home soil.
The history between the two clubs goes back to 1897/98, although they have never before faced each other in the league. They did famously meet in the 1985 John Player Cup final at Twickenham, a game which Bath won.
Welsh then travel to Parc y Scarlets. While the Exiles may have a rich history against Bath, as well as Llanelli RFC, August 25 will be the first-ever meeting between London Welsh and the Scarlets.
“We’re look forward to new experiences,” said head coach Lyn Jones. “London Welsh hasn’t been down to Llanelli for a very long time.
“These games are what they are, friendlies. They’re not competitive matches. They’re an opportunity for all sides to air players and get them match fit for the start of the season.”
