Last season saw the Quins record their first ever win over the Black and Ambers with a 30-23 win at home and they will be looking for a repeat performance on Saturday.
It had taken 12 attempts for the Quins to gain a victory over Newport, the previous 11 league matches played between the two sides had seen Newport emerge as winners.
They will be looking for another victory while the visitors will be looking to put the disappointment of Wednesday’s injury time defeat to Bedwas behind them.
Despite an improved performance, Newport will be unhappy with the way they let victory slip from their grasp as they led with just minutes remaining only to see a late conversion from Bedwas fly-half Richard Powell send them to defeat.
The Black and Ambers were not helped by the handicap of playing more than half the match with only 14 men and they will be looking for an improvement in their discipline as they take on the Quins.
For Newport, promising centre Adam Davies is replaced by Ian Smerdon after he sadly broke his ankle in the game with Bedwas.
