The 2009 Lion has been recovering following the knee reconstruction he underwent at the beginning of April.
Roberts was not scheduled to return until October but Cardiff Blues director of rugby Phil Davies has revealed he is ahead of schedule and ready to return.
“Jamie will be available from selection from Monday,” confirmed Davies.
“He has worked incredibly hard with the medical staff and we have a new piece of equipment that is helping the injured players return.
“He has done well himself in and around all his studying because he is coming to the end of a seven-year degree where he will qualify as a doctor.
“He has been very focused which has allowed him to get into this situation.”
The Blues face Edinburgh tomorrow and have already been bolster by the return of the international contingent, including fellow 2009 Lion Leigh Halfpenny.
“Sam Warburton, Bradley Davies, Leigh Halfpenny and Alex Cuthbert have come back into the mix with the group we had against Connacht,” added Davies.
“Slowly but surely we are getting back to full fitness which is pleasing because we have not got a big squad.
“We are starting to try and build a 38-man group which we are confident from selecting from that can go out and do a job.
“We don’t want to rely on certain individuals and we need be able to count on whichever 23 players are selected for that particular game.”
