The Borderettes showed their intent from the start when quick ruck ball was spread wide for debutant winger Helen Price to sprint away to score.
This was followed almost immediately from the kick-off when quick ball from the forwards was spread wide to put Price away down the right flank where she was well supported by livewire flanker Angharad Williams who cantered in under the posts.
Next up stepped centre Nat Walsh who took a quick penalty on the half way line and powered through a couple of tacklers to score under the posts.
Kidwelly decided it was time to put in some offence of their own and spent a good 10 minutes driving at the Whitland try-line and only some super defence from outside half Alice James, flanker Lowri Morgan and centre Elin Hywel kept them out. Kidwelly eventually fumbled the ball and a kick downfield by full back Catherine Davies was well followed up by the Whitland resulting in a penaly which was taken quickly by the ever alert Walsh to crash over under the posts.
Kidwelly went on the attack from the kick-off and turned over Whitland ball and some very good forward drives resulted in powerhouse second row Charlotte Hunter diving over to score an unconverted try.
The next score was the try of the game. Whitland forwards made some powerful drives into the Kidwelly defence before the ball was moved quickly along the back line for Walsh to draw the final defender and put Price away for her second.
The second halfwas a similar affair to the first, all the Whitland bench was brought on which meant a welcome return to the side for Welsh international Vicky Owens who made some powerful runs into the heart of the Kidwelly defence resulting in good ruck ball for the backs to use. Three times Price was put away on the right wing to sprint in to bring her tally for the day to five.
Walsh side stepped her way through the midfield to touch down under the posts for her hat trick and not to be left out scrum half Emma Summons who had linked well between backs and forwards all afternoon, pounced on a loose ball to hack ahead and out strip the cover defence to touch down. Seven of the tries were converted by Cath Davies.
A special mention must go to the Whitland front row of Ffion Jones, Sara Davies, Amy Jones and Ceris Moyle who dominated the scrums against much bigger opposition thus providing a constant supply of ball to the speedy backs.
Try scoring machine Hannah Richards was unable to add to the nine tries she had scored in the previous two games as she sustained a nasty ankle injury early in the game which will see her out of action for a while.
