Greg Woods’ side led 3-0 at the interval but a second-half try from Jason Harries and three penalties from James Dixon secured the win for the home side.
Keys were by far the better side in the first half but had only a penalty by Dorian Jones to show for their efforts as the tricky conditions played a massive part in a dour encounter. The only other real action worth mentioning in the was the sin-binning of Keys flanker Rhys Peebles.
The second-half was a complete turnaround as Quins played the awful conditions much better. Keys decided tackling was optional which only helped to push Quins into the positions where they could create chance after chance.
Quins outside-half Dixon kicked three penalties to give his side a 9-3 lead as Keys simply had little or no possession to even look like threatening the opposition try line. Then came the only try of the game as Quins started a flowing move deep inside their own half.
Keys’ defence was weak, allowing Quins wing Harries to score a fine try. Dixon failed to add the extras but the score was enough to seal the win.
