All four regions have selected oversized squads at this stage and the festival gives them a further opportunity to look at players in a match situation ahead of the first round of Championship matches to be held at Maesteg RFC on Sunday 25th November.

The event, which sees at least three games take place, also gives Welsh national squad coaches a chance to see some new players in a competitive match situation.

The regional programme is a key part of the WRU’s player pathway and bridges the gap between club and international rugby.

Sunday’s festival begins the lead up to selection for the final Six Nations squad selection in December and ahead of the preparation for this important competition.

The fixtures taking place on Sunday are as follows.

1.30:
Blues vs. Dragons
Ospreys vs. Scarlets

2.15:
Scarlets vs. Blues
Dragons vs. Ospreys

3.00:
Ospreys vs. Blues
Dragons vs. Scarlets
