The Wales lock has returned to training and is likely to figure for the Blues after recovering from severe concussion suffered in Wales’ defeat to New Zealand last month.
Davies was caught by a swinging arm from All Blacks hooker Andrew Hore just minutes into the clash at the Millennium Stadium, an incident for which Hore received a paltry five week ban.
But Davies is now ready to return to action after passing stringent medical tests following what the lock described as a period of three day memory loss.
And his regional Director of Rugby has welcomed his return ahead of a busy run of Christmas fixtures.
“I’ve missed his wit and his charm. Brad has come back and he’s always good for the group because he’s so enthusiastic and keen,” said Davies.
“I’m pleased to have him back to go with the locks who have been playing well. Macauley Cook has come in and impressed but it’s great to have your internationals back.”
The return of Davies is a huge boost for the Blues though Jamie Roberts and Leigh Halfpenny are unavailable as they continue their recovery from injuries sustained over the autumn.
Halfpenny was stretchered off in the dying minutes of the defeat to Australia while Roberts suffered an elbow injury.
“Bradley is back but Jamie and Leigh are not fit,” confirmed Davies.
“They’ll be back in the New Year I’d imagine and won’t be playing in the Christmas fixtures.”
In the absence of Halfpenny, Rhys Patchell has stepped up into the kicking role and impressed, particularly in the home defeat to Montpellier.
“Rhys is a player with high levels of concentration and for a young guy he’s got an old head on young shoulders,” Davies added.
“We’re very lucky in Wales, we’ve got a lot of skilful, young 10s and we have to look after them.
“There’s some top young players coming through and we’ve got to nurture them not build them up and chop them down.”
