Swansea have nothing to be frightened of

Ian Hopkins, team manager at Swansea Rugby, said: “Although we didn’t get the result we wanted against the Cornish Pirates last week we were pleased with the effort and attitude of our players.

“We were able to complete on an even level against the full time outfit until we were reduced to 14 men through a yellow card.

“The fact that the Pirates were only able to score one try after the break was a testament to our defence on the day.

“I’m sure our coaches will be happier with our display than the Pirates’ counterparts will be of theirs and we go into Saturday’s return fixture with nothing to be frightened of.”
