The Swansea-based region have notoriously come unstuck upon trips to Newport and have claimed just one win at the iconic ground.
That came in 2007 as Shane Williams bagged a brace to inspire the Ospreys to victory.
But having claimed a Boxing Day victory over Scarlets, to climb to fifth in the RaboDirect PRO12 table, Tandy is desperate for his side to enter the New Year on a high.
“We have some massive games coming up and we don’t want this bubble to burst,” said Tandy.
“We have never fared well at the Dragons and want to put it right.
They’re a proud bunch. I’ve played against them and found that to be the case.
“We also have a couple of former Dragons in our changing room and every guy who has come from there has been exceptional for us. We know what attitude they have.
“They have good coaches and good support – it’s always a hostile environment up there. We have to deal with that as best we can.”
Tandy singled out Toby Faletau as a particular threat to the Ospreys’ cause but he is also wary of their collective prowess.
“He’s fantastic,” added the Ospreys head coach.
“How do you stop him? You have to go low, otherwise he’ll fend you off.
“He’s a huge threat from the base of the scrum and their line-out plays.
“But we can’t just look at Toby because they have plenty of other good guys up there. We’ll do our homework on them and then focus on ourselves.
“We’re in a pretty confident place. It hasn’t been a great place for us to go, but the mood in the group is that we want to prepare well and try to go there to get a positive result. “
