Webb has been cited for stamping/trampling on an opponent, under Law 10.4 (b), during the Boxing Day win over the Scarlets in Swansea.
The Wales capped scrum-half is alleged to have committed the offence in the 71st minute of the comprehensive 32-3 victory at the Liberty Stadium as the Ospreys moved up to fifth in the PRO12 standings.
Webb’s hearing is due to be held by an independent three-man disciplinary panel in Dublin on Sunday, just a day before the Ospreys travel to the Dragons for their New Year’s Eve clash at Rodney Parade.
The 24-year-old has played second fiddle to Samoan Kahn Fotuali’i in recent weeks but has still featured in 14 matches so far this term.
Webb has now made 82 appearances for the region since making his debut against Ulster in March 2008 and head coach Steve Tandy will be keen to have him available for selection as the Ospreys continue the defence of their Celtic crown and look for a quarter-final spot in the Heineken Cup.
Details of the disciplinary hearings for Scarlets stars Rob McCusker and Gareth Owen have not yet been announced after the pair both saw red in a fiery encounter.
