After not playing since the first week of November and with a number of new signings making their first start, the Falcons looked a little rusty to begin with. They soon took the lead though, new signing Brogan Jones chipped the ball over the defensive line for winger Jaimee Lee Bennett to score in the corner.
In the close contact area, the powerful Seven Sisters pack bullied the Falcons off the ball on several occasions winning valuable turnover ball and putting the Pontyclun defence under pressure.
But with the Falcons having plenty of pace in the back line, the gaps started to open and they ran in nine tries in all.
Pontyclun man of the match Lee Bennett having an outstanding game scoring five tries herself.
The Falcons now turn their attention towards their next game, this Sunday away to Pencoed.
Pontyclun are always looking for new players. We train on Thursday nights 6:30 pm at Pontyclun rugby club. Players of all abilities welcome.
