The Black & Ambers, fresh from their record SWALEC Cup win of 95-14 over Bonymaen, were winners over the Quins earlier in the season.
Back in September, Newport wing Elliot Frewen ran 90 metres for a sensational try in the fourth minute of stoppage time for Newport to snatch a 28-25 win at The Park, Carmarthen.
Adam Davies picked up a shoulder injury in the cup clash with Bonymaen and is replaced by Will Richards while Scott Sneddon comes in at No 10 for Tom Hancock who scored 25 points including a record 11 conversions in the win over Bonymaen.
Carmarthen have been starved of action recently but have played some entertaining rugby so far this season and will be looking to keep up the pressure on Llanelli above them in fifth place.
