The Scarlets kicked off Judgement Day with a 20-28 vicotry, George North doing most of the damge with two tries of his own.
But the Dragons never gave up and crossed for twice themselves as well as producing an enormous defensive effort.
That meant the men in red failed to clinch a fourth try and with it a bonus point. Nonetheless, Easterby was left feeling positive after the win. Here’s what he had to say post match.
“We were frustrated at half time as we thought we were dominant in all areas of the game.
“It’s definitely four points won. The Dragons have taken a bit of flak but they were far better today than last week. It’s important at this stage to just win.
“That’s all we can do and put pressure on the sides around us.
“We were a bit sloppy in defence but we showed some class in the second half to take the game away from the opposition.
“We just couldn’t get the fourth try but I was pleased with the impact from our international players. George looked sharp and took his tries very well, I was really pleased with his performance as well as Ken Owens – he came on and made a big, big impact.
“There are still things in our game where we can improve but we need to make sure we keep winning and if we do that we’ll be there or there abouts.”
