With sessions ahead of Saturday’s first Test clash with Japan taking place in temperatures of 30 degrees celsius and high humidity, players have taken to filling their hats with ice.
“The conditions are unlike anything that most of the lads have dealt with before,” said King.
“We’re having to wear ice-hats and wrap ice-towels around us during the breaks just to get our core body temperature down. It sounds basic, but it does the job.
“On the day, we’re just going to have to tough it out.
“The Lions showed how it is done last weekend with the way they played in Hong Kong.”
The Ospreys back-rower, who was born in Australia, is set to swap his ice-hat for a first cap on Saturday.
He is equally comfortable anywhere in the back five of the pack and would be delighted to pull on any Welsh jersey.
“I’d be more than happy to do it. I’ve said with the Ospreys that I’m happy to play anywhere,” added King.
“As long as I’m on the field it doesn’t really matter. I’d happily play on the wing if needed.”
