At the bottom of the table Bro Ffestiniog came agonisingly close to their second win of the season but were edged out 10-13 by Bala. The visiting side did just enough to capitalise on Bethesda’s defeat and are now just two points behind them with a game in hand.
Nant Conwy came away from their trip to Denbigh with a bonus point win in a seven-try thriller. Their four tries gave them a 19-20 win as the hosts fell to defeat for the fifth time this season despite scoring three tries of their own.
Second-from-bottom Dolgellau also sealed a bonus point victory with a 27-8 home win against Cobra. The visitors ran in just one try and kicked one penalty as Dolgellau moved away from the bottom of the table with their second win of the campaign.
Ruthin made sure they stayed in touch with the leaders as they edged out Caernarfon with a 16-12 victory. Both sides scored two tries but Ruthin were ruthless with the boot as they leapfrogged Caernarfon in the league table, with the visitors dropping to fifth.
