Aberavon Green Stars will go into their home cup tie with Porthcawl on the back of five straight league victories that have taken them to joint top of Division 4 South West. St Joseph’s are another side that has started the season in top form. Six straight wins has taken them to the top of Division 4 South East. They routed Aberbargoed 65-7 in round one and now host Clwb Rygbi Caerdydd, a club they have already beaten 20-12 in the league this season.
Division 2 North side Wrexham’s reward for their 34-19 victory at Rhos in round one is a trip to face Flint. Although without a league victory to date, Wrexham will hope their cup form will keep them in the competition at the expense of their Division 3 North hosts.
