The clash in north Wales was the only game to take place yesterday as the wet weather across Wales again took its toll on the fixture list.
But in the game that did go ahead, Josh Leach’s Llandrillo side played the conditions the better, outscoring Neath Port Talbot by two tries to one.
In a tight first half where scoring opportunities were at a minimum, Llandrillo went into the break with a narrow 5-0 lead after centre Tom Williams dived over.
With the match played out in such bad conditions, a close game was always going to be on the cards but at the start of the second half, the home side struck a vital blow with a couple of quick scores.
Wales Under 18 full back Morgan Williams added a penalty soon after the interval before replacement Sean Lonsdale pushed Llandrillo further clear with their second try. Morgan Williams converted and with 52 minutes played, that was pretty much that.
Scoreless so far, Neath Port Talbot refused to give up and came back into the equation with a try of their own from No. 8 Jacob Blackmore. It left them enough time to get back into things and Llandrillo held out as they pushed further up the league table.
