Heol y Cyw secured a decisive 27-9 victory over 10th placed Gilfach Goch in SWALEC Division 1 East to move level on points with second placed Ystrad Rhondda.

Heol y Cyw notched four tries away from home at Welfare Park to earn an all important bonus point to raise their points tally to 53. Ystrad Rhondda, meanwhile, scraped a 17-16 win over bottom place Bedlinog, consolidating their position, but failing to bring them much closer to untouchable league leaders Merthyr.
