The side is captained by Wales flanker Nia Davies in a squad where newcomer Chantelle Miller and Rhiannon Parker are the only players not to have been capped at senior international level in the fuller version of the game.
Eleven of the squad are regular players within the Wales system with Miller being the exception. Miller has been included after figuring prominently for the Army against Llandaff North just after the conclusion of the Six Nations while teenager Elli Norkett will be competing in her first senior Sevens tournament.
Wales are using this weekend’s event as a training tournament before taking part in the Bournemouth Sevens (on May 24-25) and the Cardiff Sevens (June 1) before two important legs of the FIRA Sevens take place where Wales will play in Moscow (June 6-9) and Brive (June 13-16).
