Tickets for the 20,000 capacity stadium went on sale on Tuesday and have quickly reached five figures for the opportunity to see the first Wales Senior Trial in 14 years.
Howley and Robin McBryde announced their respective Probables and Possibles squads earlier this week and will pit the two sides against each other with the players battling it out to impress the Wales management ahead of the summer tour to South Africa.
The two coaches both featured in the last Wales trial back in 2000 and Howley is hoping for a big crowd to add to the pressure and atmosphere of the occasion.
“The trial gives us the ability to see players go up against each other for the Wales jersey and that’s something we haven’t been able to do for the last decade,” said Howley.
“We want to see the players in a pressured environment and the trial gives us that opportunity.
“Part of that pressure will come from the crowd with the pressure to go out and perform.
“A big capacity crowd at the Liberty would be a great advert for Welsh rugby to finish off the season at home and set the players up well for the month ahead in South Africa.”
Tickets are priced at just £5 for adults and £1 for under 16’s and due to demand supporters are urged to purchase in advance.
Tickets are available on general sale and can be purchased from the box office at the Liberty Stadium and from the WRU Store on Westgate street in Cardiff.
Tickets can also be purchased online* from http://www.liberty-stadium.com
(*Tickets purchased online are subject to a booking fee).
Any profit from the game, together with a modest donation, will be provided to the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
