The first national trial in 14 years will take place at the Liberty Stadium, Swansea, tomorrow evening and the WRU has joined forces with the UK’s largest retail and commercial bank, which will be represented on both the Probables and Possibles jerseys.

The traditional red (Probables) and white (Possibles) jerseys will be worn by the opposition squads who battle it out for a chance to stake their claim for inclusion on Wales’ forthcoming two-Test summer tour of South Africa.

Less than 1,000 tickets remain for the encounter, which is priced at £5 and £1 concession – with all proceeds going to charity (Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust) – and will be screened live on BBC 2 Wales (Kick-off 7.05pm).

The WRU’s longstanding relationship with NatWest includes the NatWest RugbyForce programme which was launched back in 2009.  That scheme is part of the WRU’s commitment to strengthen its member clubs and assists grassroots rugby across Wales, by helping clubs to improve facilities alongside improving sustainability through business workshops.

Craig Maxwell, WRU Head of Sales and Marketing, said: “We are delighted to announce an addition to our partnership with NatWest with their backing of the Wales Senior Trial.

“The match has grabbed the public’s attention and we are expecting a capacity crowd to watch what we are hoping will be a thrilling contest.

“The trial concept takes us back to the days when such matches a regular factor in international selection and it’s fitting that the event is to be supported by NatWest, who we work so closely with on grassroots initiatives.

“The NatWest RugbyForce programme has been a huge success, with hundreds of clubs from across the country benefiting from the NatWest partnership.

Mark Douglas, NatWest Regional Director, Wales said: “We are delighted to be working alongside the WRU to support the Wales Senior Trial.

“This sponsorship is an extension of our community based partnership which  supports the game at the grassroots level and is in-line with NatWest’s ongoing commitment to supporting communities across Wales.”

Tickets for the trial are still available on general sale and can be purchased from the box office at the Liberty Stadium and from the WRU Store on Westgate Street in Cardiff, priced at £5 and £1 concession.

Tickets can also be purchased online* www.liberty-stadium.com (Tickets purchased online are subject to a booking fee).

Any profit from the game, together with a modest donation, will be provided to the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
