Cardiff have started the season with a determined bang after convincing victories over Bridgend and Llanelli and they will have been very disappointed at losing to Cross Keys last week by 30-24.
Both teams will want to make the most of the long ‘Indian summer’ to play the open expansive game which has become a familiar feature of matches between the two clubs.
The Drovers will look to continue where they left off against Neath last Saturday in scoring a 35-18 win, the fifth successive defeat of the Welsh All Blacks.
With both teams out of the BIC competition three-week window, tomorrow’s fixture is the only game for both teams in October, with the Drovers returning to league action at Bridgend on 1st November.
Therefore the Red & Whites will be keen to triumph today so as to leapfrog their opponents, who are only two places and one point above them in the table.
