For many rugby fans Wales’ final Dove Men Series clash – against South Africa on Saturday 29th November – will be their last opportunity to watch their national side face Top 10 opposition this season.

Over 55,000 fans attended what was a superb opening Dove Men Series clash between Wales and Australia last Saturday and, in addition to the over 50,000 fans expected to watch fellow World Cup pool opponents Fiji  this weekend, the other three big home matches of 2014/2015 tickets are in particularly high demand.

Wales’ clash with New Zealand on Saturday 22nd November will reach capacity within days, with just a few hundred single tickets left, now only available online at wru.wales

Demand to watch the All Blacks is traditionally high, but the Welsh Rugby Union has also confirmed that Wales’ two home RBS 6 Nations clashes, against England and Ireland, are unlikely to go on public sale.

This means that fans wishing to watch Wales play at the Millennium Stadium against a Top 10 IRB Ranked nation this season, who normally rely on the public sale route for tickets, need to target the Springboks game.

“The New Zealand match is selling-out with only single tickets available and we have sold well above 50,000 for Wales v South Africa,” said WRU Group head of sales and marketing Craig Maxwell.

“Tickets for the England and Ireland matches in the RBS 6 Nations are unlikely to go on public sale as they are already approaching sell-out through ticket sales at WRU member clubs.”

Tickets are available from the official WRU Ticket Office at Gate 3 on Westgate Street and online at www.wru.wales/tickets, with tickets remaining for the South Africa fixture at £60 and £30 for Under 16s.  For the Fiji game tickets are available at £10 for Under 16s and £20 for adults, also from the WRU Ticket Office and online at wru.wales,  a £5 reduction on last year’s pricing.

“Over 50,000 fans have already got their tickets for this weekend’s match against Fiji with over 700 selling per day and a large walk up crowd expected,” added Mr Maxwell.

“We would also like to remind fans that by attending matches they are doing their bit for Welsh rugby.  The WRU invests more than £22 million a year directly into Welsh rugby and this income is achieved through match ticket sales, broadcast contracts, sponsorship and commercial activity.”
