The Whitland girls came out on fire and blew the much bigger opposition away in the first 25 minutes, scoring six tries in that devastating spell.

The benefactor from some superb inter-play between backs and forwards in that first period was player of the match Mari Griffiths whose speed and lethal side-step saw her cross for a hat trick.

Pacey No8 Sioned Harries also popped up with a brace, ubiquitous flanker Lowri Morgan normally the grafter and provider popped up in midfield to take a pass of fellow flanker Angharad Williams and showed a good turn of pace to score under the posts, the final try of the half was scored by full back Cath Davies after a break in mid field by No10 Alice James.

The second half was mainly a defensive one for the Whitland girls as the muck bigger Seven Sisters pack kept things tight and managed to keep the ball away from the Whitland backs. Seven scored two tries from Beth Howells and Sian Jones in the third quarter but the final 10 minutes belonged to the Borderettes.

Some great handling in mid field from Emma Summons , James and Nat Walsh having a run out in the centre, put co-centre Jenny Collins in for two tries and Harries powered through the midfield to claim her third.

In all seven conversions were kicked by Beca Norris and one by Griffiths. The unsung heroes of the day were the Whitland front five of Sara Davies, Delyth Davies (Emma Busch), Ceris Moyle, Beca Norris and especially Elin Hywel who seemed to be everywhere on the pitch, against much bigger opposition they never gave an inch and in fact actually nudged them back at some scrums.

Having had a very successful first season in the premiership the Borderettes end the league part of the season with a mouth watering top of the table clash with Skewen at LLwyn Ty Gwyn next Sunday 21st December, kick off  2:30.
