WRU Chairman, Gareth Davies, said: “We would like to congratulate Roger on his appointment to this important new role as Chairman of Cardiff Airport.
“It is fitting and encouraging that the skills and knowledge of someone with Roger’s experience will be utilised in a role which can be of benefit to Wales.”
Roger Lewis remains in post with the WRU until October 31 and the process to identify and recruit a new Group CEO is already underway.
