Dragons Women and Girls Development Officer, Gwesyn Price-Jones is hoping his side can put a disappointing regional campaign behind them where he feels both sides under achieved.
“The Scarlets always pose a threat at Senior and U18 level, with a number of extremely quick players on both sides,” he said.
“The Blues possess powerful forwards with great handling ability at U18 level, with Raf Taylor at Senior level posing problems with her pace.
“The Ospreys will bring a wealth of experience with talented youngsters breaking through as has been seen with Keira Bevan at international level.
“We won’t be taking any side lightly and will be trying to build upon challenging regional campaigns at both levels where we believed we under performed.”
National Women’s Rugby Manager, Caroline Spanton, is also looking forward to seeing the action.
“The potential of the 7s game across Wales is very exciting and having watched other events recently I have seen many women and girls loving the pace and thrill of the game, and today it will be no different,” she said.
“I am sure we will see some excellent rugby being played and hope that this weekend’s event is successful, so that we can grow it over the coming years.”
