The Blues launched the fundraising and awareness campaign – #StayStrongForOws – last year for injured player Owen Williams.
Wales international Owen suffered a significant injury while playing for Cardiff Blues in the World Club 10s and is currently at Rookwood Hospital in Cardiff.
Owen remains on the long-term road to recovery as he undergoes his rehabilitation – with messages of support from around the world a huge source of inspiration for him, his family and friends.
And now family, friends, team-mates and staff are showing their support with a charity bike this year between the Welsh and French capitals.
The bike ride departed from Cardiff on Wednesday morning with Owen’s father Huw, brother Gavin, team-mates Lloyd Williams and Owen Jenkins plus coach Paul John among those to hit the road for charity!
The cyclists will arrive at the finishing line at the Eiffel Tower in Paris on Saturday (June 6) – stopping at rugby clubs along the route, including Newport Gwent Dragons on Wednesday morning.
All proceeds go to fund care for Owen in conjunction with the Welsh Rugby Charitable Trust.
